This week, a delegation from Rwanda led by Minister for
Refugees and Disaster Preparedness, Gen. Marcel Gatsinzi, will meet
Ugandan officials in the district of Mbarara to discuss issues
concerning Rwandans who have massively continued to flee to Uganda
claiming ‘political persecution,’ 256 news has learnt.

Over one million Rwandan refugees are reported to be in Uganda and
according to reliable sources the number is increasing on a daily
basis.

Rwandan officials say these refugees are telling
many lies against the government in order to get refugee status, and
they are looking forward to solve the matter soon and expect them to
return home because there is no persecution as they claim.

According to Rwandan asylum seekers, the Kigali government routinely
manipulates the asylum system. The Rwandan refugee community is
perpetually under surveillance and effectively under attack by fake
agents posing as asylum seekers. These agents collaborate with some
Uganda government officials and regularly arrest genuine asylum seekers.

256news.com has learnt that the Ugandan delegation will be led by
Tarsis Kabwegyere, the Minister for Relief, Disaster Preparedness
and Refugees.
