Message of solidarity with the Rwandan and Congolese women

Message of solidarity with the Rwandan and Congolese women.

On this international Women day, the Democratic Liberation Forces of Rwanda ( FDLR ) are associated with all Rwandan women who are victims of the repression of the fascist regime of the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF-Inkotanyi), all widows and orphans and all those women who struggle every day to stop the injustice in Rwanda and to uncover the truth about the tragedy that this country has seen, in order to achieve fair justice for all and a true national reconciliation. The FDLR wish to ensure them of their support and encourage them to continue to fight for their fundamental rights. Our deepest thoughts go as well to Congolese women and girls, especially those living in Kivu, who are victims of repeated abuses (rape, theft, violence, etc.) and who do not appear to have adequate protection by the competent authorities.

The FDLR renew their urgent appeal to the Security Council of the United Nations in collaboration with the African Union and the European Union to establish without delay an International Independent Investigation Commission to shed light on all atrocities committed in Kivu and in Rwanda so that all those guilty of such abuses, whoever they are, are made accountable for their acts before justice. The FDLR reiterate their readiness to fully cooperate with such a commission of inquiry. The FDLR congratulate once again all Abacunguzi for demonstrating selflessness and exemplary discipline in these difficult times in which they face a fierce enemy, and for the self-sacrificing commitment to continue to ensure the protection of Rwandan refugees and Congolese people.
